Mooo

In the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston there is a place at the foot of the luxurious XV Beacon Hotel and just down the street from the Statehouse where you can experience unmatched cuisine. It is a place to go when you want to enjoy culinary excellence and classic steakhouse fare with a modern twist. This place is called Mooo. It is an award winning restaurant with unparalleled ambience, food and service in Boston and it is one of the stops on our Foods of the Freedom Trail walking tour.

Together with his partner, Chef and owner Jamie Mammans opened the doors to Mooo in July 2007. Mammans is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York and spent many years establishing himself as a premier chef, even cooking in Washington DC for the Ambassador to Spain.

Mooo is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for brunch on Sunday. After the walking tour, come back to experience more of Mooo. Indulge in a Mango Bellini or Mooo Mimosa for breakfast or brunch and sample from the award winning wine list for dinner. Mooo also offers a full bar. On the menu, in addition to classic steakhouse fare, you will find delicious menu items including such exquisite dishes as the wild mushroom frittata with real Vermont Cheddar cheese, fresh crisp salads like the baby beet and goat cheese salad or some of New England's famous seafood.

The ambiance at Mooo is relaxed and sophisticated with warm lighting and charming artwork adorning the walls. In addition to the bar and dining room, Mooo has a private dining space known as The Wine Cellar. The Wine Cellar is an exclusive, private dining area for elegant parties and gatherings. This private space can accommodate up to 50 guests seated or up to 65 guests for a reception.

Mooo is one of the delicious stops along our Foods of the Freedom Walking Trail walking tour but you don't have to make that your only stop at this exquisite steakhouse. With all the tantalizing choices Mooo offers you will want to return to see what you've missed.
